Polycom^® Rich Media Delivery

Polycom Rich Media Delivery enables clients to deliver video over disparate or hybrid networks. These services are available through the Polycom RealPresence Media Manager.

• Live Event Multicasting – Polycom Rich Media Creation Products enable the streaming of rich media webcasts in both unicast and multicast (or combined) environments, and support both push and pull of video to the streaming servers.
• VOD Pre-Positioning – Polycom Rich Media Creation Products automate the creation of archived versions of any live event webcast. Event archives are stored locally on the capture workstation, stored in the AMMS database or portal library, stored on edge catching devices, and/or can be mapped to organizational storage networks.
• Multi-CDN Distribution – Via validated integrations and APIs with Blue Coat®, Cisco®, Riverbed and native Windows Media®, clients can enjoy distribution of rich media content over non-uniform network environments, including multi-CDN/WAN Op distribution.
• Rich Media Delivery Products – The Polycom RealPresence Media Manager Media Director is an administration console where IT users can establish Distribution Profiles, including publishing points and manifest files that schedule, execute and route content. The Polycom RealPresence Media Manager Media Services Agent is edge server software that runs as a service over WMS/IIS and can serve as unification layer connecting edge locations, even across a hybrid, multicast/unicast environment.
• Location-Based Routing – The Polycom RealPresence Media Manager enables users to use location-based routing to improve video quality by selecting the most appropriate delivery network, minimize the use of expensive bandwidth by limiting its usage to only those who need it, and separate traffic based on geographic locations to curtail the usage of wide area network links.
• Cisco, Blue Coat and Riverbed Integration Modules – Polycom offers turnkey Polycom RealPresence Media Manager integration modules to enable clients to easily integrate Media Manager capabilities with enterprise network, content management and content delivery systems
