Polycom® Take Back and Recycle Program

We urge our business customers to join us in taking responsibility for the environment

Polycom recognizes its responsibility as a producer of electronic communication products and embraces the opportunity to help protect and preserve our environment by providing safe ways to dispose of electronic waste. Toward that end, we've created the Polycom Take Back and Recycle Program as part of our corporate social responsibility initiative.

Our aim is to help make it easy for you, our customers, to help as well. Here are more details:

  • The Polycom Producer Responsibility StatementRead a short overview of our acknowledged responsibilities in this area.
  • EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive – In 2004 the European Union issued—and then in 2008 strengthened—directives on the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) on the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS). Polycom has sought to fully comply with or exceed environmental protection requirements placed on it as a producer of e-solutions. Our response to the EU WEEE Directive is part of our overall corporate social responsibility initiative. Learn and obtain EU-specific social responsibility information.
  • Crossed Wheelie Bin Symbols – All Polycom products that fall within the scope of the EU WEEE Directive, carry the crossed wheelie bin symbol which advises customers not to recycle electronic products with regular recyclable materials but to recycle them safely as e-waste.
  • Free Recycling for Business Customers – Polycom provides a free recycling service for Polycom-branded products in all markets where these products are sold. According to the country and implementation of the WEEE Directive, Polycom may share the cost of transporting waste equipment to the designated recycling facility. More information is outlined in the Polycom Producer Responsibility Statement. To learn more about the recycling options open to you in your country, please contact us via e-mail at TakeBack@polycom.com.
  • Battery Disposal and Handling InformationReview the specific guidance for environmentally safe ways to handle and dispose of batteries.
