Kate Hutchison

Kate Hutchison joined Polycom in June 2011 as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, responsible for making the UC Everywhere vision a reality through the forces of marketing. Ms. Hutchison brings nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience positioning and evolving the brands of some of the world's most successful enterprise software companies, including VMware, Citrix Systems and BEA. The hallmark of her career has been developing and implementing game-changing marketing strategies that help turn emerging companies into high-growth, sustainable global leaders.

At VMware, Ms. Hutchison was responsible for branding, marketing and messaging across corporate, channel, field and product teams. At Citrix, Ms. Hutchison helped architect and execute on the strategy to double revenue to over $1B within three years and become the global leader in application delivery. Ms. Hutchison was senior vice president of marketing during BEA's rocket-launch trajectory from $300M to $1B – becoming the fastest software company in history to achieve $1B in annual revenue.

Ms. Hutchison holds a Master’s degree from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor's of Science from Long Island University, Southampton Campus (now part of SUNY Stony Brook). In 2005, she was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of Southampton College.
